In a heartfelt plea on Facebook Live in 2023, the Yoruba actor, battling health issues, sought forgiveness from Nigerians for his past ‘irresponsible’ lifestyle. Expressing regret, he acknowledged his mistakes and appealed for financial assistance to cover his medical bills. He sincerely asked for forgiveness, particularly from women he may have offended.

Convinced that he has kids with some of the women he dated in the past, Suebebe begged those with his child(ren) to pardon his youthful mistakes.

He stated: “E dariji, paa pa awon obirin (please forgive me, especially women).

“I’m begging the women, as I can’t tell the one that has my child and has refused to come forward because I used to have a lot of them.

“So, I’m begging any of them with my child to come forward. I can’t lie that I didn’t have several women, pastor.

“Those days, I had encounters with women that I couldn’t resist the urge of dating them.

Moved by his sincerity, Mr. Gabriel gifted him a house in 2023, and Nigerians rallied to support him financially. This public appeal for forgiveness and assistance garnered significant attention in 2023, shedding light on the actor’s past struggles and his current battle with health challenges.

Death

Sule Suebebe, the celebrated Yoruba film icon, breathed his last on Wednesday morning at an Ibadan hospital in Oyo State following a prolonged illness. The news of his passing was confirmed by Pastor Ademola Amusan, a trusted friend who had been assisting in the actor’s care. Amusan took to his Facebook page to share the somber update, expressing, “It’s a mournful day. Baba Suebebe departed at the hospital this morning. May his soul find eternal peace.”

Burial arrangements will be announced by his family members.
